The Retiree Community
The National Guard Association of Florida continues to serve our retired Guard members through ongoing support, resources, and connection opportunities. Our retiree community remains an integral part of our organization, with access to the TAG Retiree Advisory Committee (TRAC), Morning Muster updates, and special events that help maintain bonds forged during years of dedicated service to Florida and the nation.

Stay Connected & Engaged
The Adjutant General MG John Haas established the TAG Retiree Advisory Committee (TRAC) to keep retired Florida Guard members informed and engaged through Morning Muster email updates and direct communication with current leadership. Retired Guard members are welcome to participate in National Guard Association of Florida functions throughout the year, including our annual state conference and special ceremonial events like recent wreath-laying ceremonies at national memorials that honor our service heritage while maintaining the camaraderie that defines our Guard family.

Benefits & Resources
Access comprehensive retirement information through specialized portals including Soldier for Life resources for Army Guard retirees and Air Force retirement services for Air Guard retirees. Navigate your post-service healthcare options through VA resources, understand TRICARE eligibility, and maintain your military ID through RAPID card renewal services to ensure continued access to commissaries, exchanges, and other earned benefits. Federal employees can also access OPM retirement services to understand how military and civilian service credits combine to maximize overall federal retirement benefits.

Legislative Advocacy & Support
Your membership in the National Guard Association of Florida ensures representation in legislative advocacy focused on improving retirement pay equity, expanding healthcare access, and protecting earned benefits. The association supports National Guard retirement modernization initiatives and safeguards Florida-specific benefits, including state-sponsored life insurance eligibility and employment preferences. Retiree families are eligible for association scholarship programs and emergency assistance through the "We Care for America" foundation, acknowledging that Guard family commitment extends beyond active service.

April Reunion 2025
Thanks for the donation from Association to help support our DC Trip during our April Reunion for all. We had 26 folks sign up for this DC trip of which 14 were Vietnam Veterans ( other 12 were spouses) Of the 14 RVN vets, 6 had never visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Both the Memorial Service and Wreath Laying Ceremonies were very emotional for all.
